I thought that it was interesting that I ran across the following article on the same day the Wellstone shenanigans were taking place. How I was smeared by Harry Stein. He talks about how a lecture he gave was twisted and skillfully misconstrued to turn the lecture he gave decrying racism into an accusation that he is a racist.

The interesting thing is that it looks like it was a setup to get Bob McTeer, president and CEO of the Dallas Federal Reserve. All fabricated to manufacture dirt that can be dug up in the future is McTeer if nominated for Fed Chairman.

Despicable.

What's up with turning a memorial service into a campaign pep rally?

I had never really had heard of Paul Wellstone, but I was impressed when a number of prominent conservatives said such nice things about the guy - We disagreed with him, but we respected and liked him. - was the chorus.

Then, last night, they turned his memorial service into a get-out-the-vote-for-Mondale campaign rally. They booed some of the Republican Senators who were in attendance to pay their respects. It got so bad, Independent Governor Jesse Ventura walked out in disgust.

I also heard a statement from a Minnesota state Democrat official who said they'd sue over not counting Wellstone absentee votes for Mondale. Come on! I wonder if they own the Minnesota Supreme Court as they do in New Jersey.

This takes winning at any expense to new levels. I'm ashamed of my fellow Americans.
