I've always loved learning about the English language. The history of words and regional differences are fascinating.

ukFlag.gif So I was excited to stumble across an American-British/British-American Dictionary site. Beyond the obligatory word lists, there sre lots of other information like pronunciation notes, a good history section, some neat charts, and much more.

Did you know Scotland is in-between West Virginia and South Carolina in size? While England is in-between New York and Alabama.

The homophone list has the usual suspects, like (air, ere, err, heir) and (parish, pearish, peris) but also includes entries I'm not so sure I'd pronounce exactly the same. For example (populace, populous) and (chalk, chock) but then that's probably just my slightly off kilter midwestern accent.
